These waterfall claimed as the most beautiful waterfall in Bali.
Some travel web and blog recommend these waterfall.
You visiting exotic place with nice view. Quiet and peaceful.
You can see the nice hills, forest, farm field, landscape with fresh air.
The entry ticket is very cheap.
Only IDR 5K (Rp5.000) for retribution.
NEAR OTHER DESTINATION
It’s near to other destination such as Ulun Danu Beratan temple.
You can combine to visit those places.

*) You need climb down hundreds of stairs to reach the waterfall.
WHAT IS SEKUMPUL WATERFALL?
Sekumpul waterfall and Fiji waterfall are two different waterfall. It’s located in the same area, Lemukih village. But, they are two access point to reach these waterfall. First, Sekumpul village. It’s common access for visitor. Second, Lemukih village.

BEST TIME TO VISIT:
8.00 AM – 5.00 PM.
CLEAR WATER ON DRY SEASON:
April – October.
*) After rain the water usually turns to muddy water.

*) Don’t be surprised after you visit Sekumpul waterfall and then you want to go to Fiji waterfall, you will get additional charges because the second waterfall managed by different sub village.

WHERE IS SEKUMPUL WATERFALL LOCATED?

About 77 km north of Denpasar or 2 hour and 30 minutes.
About 69 km north of Ubud or 2 hour and 20 minutes.
About 85 km north of Kuta beach or 3 hours.
About 87 km north of Ngurah Rai airport or 3 hour and 15 minutes.

HOW TO GET TO SEKUMPUL WATERFALL?
There is no public transport to get there.
*) For backpacker i recommend you to rent a scooter to reach this waterfall and use google maps as your navigator.
**) I recommend you to turn right on Jl Raya Bedugul – Singaraja or Pagayaman, Sukasada exactly. It’s a shortcut to the waterfall. It will one hour faster than you follow Google maps recommendation. The road is in good condition, but narrow and steep some spots. No gas station in this road. Better you full your scooter petrol tank.
***) Make sure your scooter is powerful and good condition because the road so steep.
****) There are two access point to reach these waterfall. First, from Sekumpul village. The view just like photos in this article. The second, from Lemukih village. I heard from local people there will be nice rice terrace view if you access from Lemukih village. Maybe next trip i will try it.
THE BRIDGE BEFORE SEKUMPUL WATERFALL
*) You need to pass the bridge to reach those waterfall.
**) After pass the bridge, if you turn left you will find the Sekumpul waterfall, but if turn right you will find Fiji waterfall. You need to pay additional charge for each waterfall.
MOBILE PHONE SIGNAL:
Strong signal for your smartphone.
*) Use a Telkomsel SIM card for better service compare to other telecom operator.

*) The restroom without the doors and the smell is not good. Better you bring your towel and change the clothes on the cafe or restaurant.
Some shop outside of the water palace selling snacks and souvenirs.
*) There is one shop who selling cheap Luwak coffee and chocolate beans. “Sekumpul restaurant & spices“. I think this place is selling the cheapest Luwak coffee in Bali.
*) It’s strong water spraying. Better your bags and stuff put into the plastic or waterproof bag. So, it won’t wet.
**) If you want take a picture by camera or smartphone, better you use a waterproof case. It’s really strong spray.
*) I really love these waterfall. So beautiful. Absolutely agree that Sekumpul waterfall and Fiji waterfall are the most beautiful waterfall in Bali.
PROS AND CONS:
1. Beautiful and huge waterfall in Bali.
2. Very nice and greenery landscape.
3. Fresh air and refreshing water.
4. Natural waterfall.
5. Instagramable spot.
1. Far away from anywhere.
2. No direction signs.
3. Too many stairs, a tiring trekking.
4. No phone signals.
5. Some visitor said there was a scam about the entry fee and local guide.
UPDATE STATUS OF SEKUMPUL WATERFALL:
OPEN FOR ANY VISITOR/TOURIST
*) Since March 18th, 2020 Sekumpul waterfall has been closed according to government instruction to avoid Corona virus spreads.
**) Update information: since 9 July 2020 (New Normal), Sekumpul waterfall is available for tourist visits (activities).
