WHAT IS GAMBIH WATERFALL?
Gambih waterfall is a waterfall located in Gambih sub-village, Buahan village, Payangan, Gianyar. The waterfall surrounded by greenery view and has natural atmosphere. Gambih waterfall managed by Gambih sub-village community and supported by Buahan village.
WHEN THE BEST TIME TO VISIT GAMBIH WATERFALL?
BEST TIME TO VISIT:
7.00 AM – 6.00 PM.
CLEAR WATER ON DRY SEASON:
April – October.
*) After raining the water usually turns to brown muddy water.
*) I visited in dry season. The water so limited.

*) There are some beautiful rice field before you reach Gambih waterfall parking area.

HOW MUCH IS GAMBIH WATERFALL ENTRANCE FEE?

*) It’s really hard to find the waterfall. You need hire a local guide to reach the waterfall. It’s donation based.
GAMBIH WATERFALL PARKING FEE:
*) It’s hard for a car to get a parking space and to do u-turn.

*) Gambih waterfall area still in natural condition. Many greenery view surround. Don’t surprise if you meet a snake for sometime. Just relax and let the snake pass in front of you.
WHERE IS GAMBIH WATERFALL LOCATED?
Village (Desa): Banjar Gambih, Buahan.
Sub-district (Kecamatan): Payangan.
Regency (Kabupaten): Gianyar.
Province (Provinsi): Bali.
About 42 km north of Denpasar or 1 hours and 20 minutes.
About 24 km north of Ubud or 40 minutes.
About 51 km north of Kuta beach or 1 hour and 40 minutes.
About 56 km north of Ngurah Rai airport or 1 hour and 45 minutes.

HOW TO GET TO GAMBIH WATERFALL?
There is no public transport to get there.
*) For backpacker i recommend you to rent a scooter to reach this place and use google map as your navigator.
**) You can not use Go-jek or Grab transport because the distance so far and it’s located in the remote area.

*) Some spot you need to walk along on the pipe. You need a good balance to do this.

*) There are many old coconut landed here.
MOBILE PHONE SIGNAL:
Weak signal in some spots.
*) Use a Telkomsel SIM card for better services than other telecom operator.
**) The signal is poor here. Sometime it exist, but sometime is gone. It is easy to make your battery low.
No restroom and toilet.
No shop nearby.
*) Better prepare the snack and mineral water first.
*) This waterfall has long trekking and some broken foot path. If you love trekking with greenery surround view, maybe you can try visit Gambih waterfall.

4. Not so deep water.

OPEN FOR ANY VISITOR/TOURIST
*) Since March 21st, 2020 Gambih waterfall has been closed according to government instruction to avoid Corona spreads.
**) Update information: since 9 July 2020 (New Normal), Gambih waterfall is available for tourist visits (activities).
