WHAT IS BALI’S ARRACK?
DESCRIPTION:
Bali’s Arrack or local people called it as ‘arak’ is a local original alcoholic drink from Bali. Sometime it used in the some religious ceremonies and also the parties of the local people. This alcoholic drink common produced in the Karang Asem regency as a traditional alcoholic beverage. It consist of a distillation of fermented palm fruit liquid (Tuak).
Dewi Sri brand founded in 1968 to fulfill the tourist needs and industry standard. It consist of a distillation of fermented cooked rice. This brand became a pioneer in the alcoholic industry in Bali. They maintained the quality over the years. Today their product exported to Japan and other countries.

*) Bali’s Arrack not categorized as Beer, Wine or Liquor. But, its a Spirit. It’s made from distillation process of fermented cooked rice.

*) You can’t get this in the seven eleven shop. But, you can buy in the big super market in Bali like Tiara Dewata, Toko Soputan Fresh, etc.

*) Update info: I checked at Fresh Soputan store on November 4th, 2018, i found they no longer sell ‘Arak Bali Dewi Sri’. Seems it correlated with the permit. But, i found other place in Ubud:

*) Arak Bali 200mL is very hard to get. It’s like a limited product.

*) Don’t buy and try Arak Bali without a brand/mark. Sometime the unbranded Arak Bali could be deadly. The stupid seller mix them with unknown ingredients and not food grade (methanol). Better you buy Arak ‘Dewi Sri’ for safety and comfort reason.
RECIPE:
3 oz Arak
1/4 oz Grenadine
Top with Orange juice
Serve in Hi – Ball glass

*) Well it’s up to you how to mix and enjoy Balinese arrack. But, i prefer mix it with Lemon, Mint leaf and White Turmeric.

Can I buy a small bottle (200 ml) in The Netherlands?

I’m not sure Dewi Sri has a distributor in Netherlands.
I just knew that they have distributor in Japan.
But, they changed the brand with the local name.
